What kinds of services can Earth Care help with?
Earth Care Rent A Tech provides access to local service professionals for handyman work, repairs, installations, plumbing, electrical work, painting, drywall, flooring, moving help, cleaning, landscaping, furniture assembly, maintenance, demolition, appliance installation, and many other residential and commercial projects. Can someone really show up in around 2 hours?
Yes. Earth Care maintains a large network of local service professionals, with multiple pros available across our service areas. When you book, technicians in your area can be pre-alerted so we can quickly coordinate coverage.
Our goal is to have a qualified professional arrive in approximately two hours or less whenever possible. Exact arrival times can vary based on location, service type, traffic, and current demand.
How much does my job cost?
Give us a call and tell us what you need. In many cases, we can provide a quote in as little as five minutes.
Pricing depends on the type of work, expected time, number of professionals needed, and project scope. Larger or more complex projects may require photos, measurements, additional information, or an on-site evaluation before the final scope is confirmed.
How does payment work?
A small refundable deposit is required to reserve your appointment and lock in your quoted rate. The deposit can be paid by card or Zelle and is applied toward your final service balance.
The remaining balance is paid directly to your service professional after the work is completed, typically by cash or Zelle.
Can I use my own materials?
Absolutely. You are welcome to purchase and provide your own materials.
If you need help getting materials, Earth Care can also arrange pickup from a nearby store at no additional pickup charge. Using your own materials can help you control costs, select exactly what you want, and keep applicable product warranties and receipts in your name.
How do larger projects work?
With a project-rate booking, Earth Care can coordinate different specialists for different phases of the same project.
For example, you may have a demolition specialist handle the first phase, a licensed plumber complete the plumbing work, and a tile professional finish the installation—all coordinated as part of the same project.
This allows each portion of the job to be handled by a professional with the appropriate skills, experience, or licensing while keeping the process simple for you.
How many pros are included?
Standard service pricing includes one technician unless your quote states otherwise.
Need another set of hands? An additional pro can generally be added for 50% more than the standard labor rate. If your project requires multiple professionals, we’ll discuss that with you before the service begins.
What if the job takes longer than expected?
No problem. If additional time is needed, we can extend the service through another package or move the additional work to straightforward hourly pricing.
Any additional time or charges will be discussed with you before proceeding so you know what to expect.
Where do your pros come from?
Earth Care works with a nationwide network of independent local service professionals.
Our network includes S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H.-certified pros, licensed tradespeople, experienced handymen, technicians, helpers, cleaners, movers, installers, and other service professionals.
This gives Earth Care the flexibility to match the type of professional to the work being performed rather than expecting one person to specialize in every trade.
Is every Earth Care pro S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. certified?
No. Earth Care’s network includes a combination of S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H.-certified professionals, licensed tradespeople, and experienced service professionals with qualifications relevant to the work they perform.
S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. was introduced by Earth Care in 2021 to create an additional consistent standard for safety, professionalism, customer service, ethics, and work readiness across our network.
We have multiple certified professionals throughout our service areas. If you specifically prefer a S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H.-certified pro, simply let us know when booking. We can mark that preference on your service request at no additional charge.
Are your pros licensed?
Earth Care’s network includes licensed professionals for trades and services where licensing is required.
Licensing rules vary by state, county, and local jurisdiction, and many handyman and general service tasks do not require a professional license. When a project includes regulated work, Earth Care can coordinate an appropriately licensed professional for that portion of the project.
If your project requires a particular license or credential, let us know when booking so we can match the appropriate professional to the work.
Are Earth Care pros insured?
Yes. Earth Care services are backed by liability insurance to provide additional protection while work is being performed.

Can I request a particular type of professional?
Yes. Tell us what matters to you when you book.
You can request specific skills, trade experience, S.A.F.E.T.E.C.H. certification, applicable licensing, or other qualifications relevant to your project. We’ll use that information when coordinating an available professional in your area.
What if I don't like my pro?
No worries. If the professional assigned to your project isn’t the right fit, contact Earth Care and we’ll arrange a replacement professional at no additional cost.
Because Earth Care maintains a network of multiple service professionals across our service areas, you aren’t locked into working with one individual.
What if I'm not satisfied with the work?
Contact us and let us know what happened. We’ll work with you to address the issue.
Qualifying work is covered by our 5-Year Labor Warranty and backed by liability insurance. If a covered labor issue needs to be corrected, Earth Care can arrange for a different professional to address it at no additional labor cost, subject to the applicable warranty terms.
Our goal is to make sure your service is handled properly and that you’re satisfied with the result.
Do you offer a labor warranty?
Yes. Qualifying Earth Care services are backed by our 5-Year Labor Warranty.
The warranty provides long-term protection for covered labor performed through Earth Care. Coverage is subject to the applicable warranty terms, including the type of service performed and any exclusions that may apply.
